Do you enjoy creative writing such as poetry, short stories or non-fiction? If so, we offer weekly meetings, a fun and exciting setting, a brand-new office conveniently located in the Stamp Student Union, and the possibility of publishing your work!

The Creative Writing Club at the University of Maryland is a non-partisan, non-exclusive organization that seeks to foster a hub for undergrad and grad students, regardless of major, year or skill, who are interested in creative writing. We are not affiliated with any other group on campus, but supported financially by the University of Maryland's English Department.

We meet twice a week in a dynamic and diverse environment with both beginning and established writers to share, critique, and listen in a circular workshop format following the same spirit as the following classes offered at Maryland:
ENGL294: Intro to Creative Writing, ENGL296: Beginning Fiction Workshop, and ENGL297: Beginning Poetry Workshop.

Join the UMD's Creative Writing Club to both improve your own writing and the writing of your peers!

We'll send an e-mail to the list-serv about an info-session in early September to answer any questions.
