Cemetery of the Innocents

What Is It?

The 3500 pink and blue flags represent the graves of the 3500+ baby boys and girls that die each day by abortions in the United States.

Why Do It?

We set up these flags early in the morning to remind ourselves and others on campus of the lives lost to abortion.

The children whom these flags commemorate were stripped of their lives prematurely, and never given the chance to grow past the few weeks and months they lived in the womb.

We are a voice for these children whose voices have been silenced.

Outdoor demonstrations also give us a chance to dialogue with others on campus, understand their views and help them to understand ours. The only way to move forward in society is by understanding and dialogue.

Why Pink and Blue?

The pink and blue colors show that these are boys and girl - their sex is determined when they are created at conception, along with all their genetic traits. It is impossible to show all their individual characteristics, but let the flags remind you that they are individual boys and girls, unique human beings.
